Two bikes, one order, one delivery. The Flux is the long-tail cargo bike that carries the children and the shopping; the Rebel 2 folds down to car-boot size for the commute or the caravan. Most households that buy two bikes do not need two of the same bike — they need one that carries and one that packs away. That is this pair.
What arrives
- One Flux long-tail cargo electric bike, with its 48V Samsung battery and charger
- One Rebel 2 folding electric bike, with its 48V 15Ah battery and charger
- Keys for both battery locks
- Pedals, wheels and handlebar hardware for both, and the tools to fit them
- Manuals and certification paperwork for both bikes
The two bikes ship together as one order. They are full-size machines in large cartons — make sure someone is there to take the delivery.

Which one does what
The Flux does the carrying
- The school run with one or two children on the rear deck.
- A full week of shopping, strapped to the deck or in the baskets.
- An adult passenger, with the seat pad and the fold-out footboards.
- Anything you would otherwise take the car for over a short distance.
The Rebel 2 does the packing away
- Folds into a car boot, so the ride starts where the parking ends.
- Fits a caravan, a boat locker or the corner of a small flat.
- Steps through as well, so it is easy to get on and off in work clothes.
- Light enough to lift into a vehicle, which the Flux is not.
Choosing your colours
The colour selector on this page chooses the finish of the Rebel 2: Wild Green, Red, Yellow or Turquoise. If you would like a particular finish on the Flux as well, tell us when you order and we will confirm what is in stock before anything is dispatched.
The photograph on this page is the manufacturer's product shot of the pair. The Flux finishes we currently sell are Nebula and Grey — see the Flux page for both.
Questions about the two-bike order
Do both bikes arrive at the same time?
Yes. It is one order, one dispatch and one delivery, from our California warehouse.
Can I choose different colours for each bike?
The selector above sets the Rebel 2's colour. Tell us in the order notes if you have a preference for the Flux and we will confirm availability before dispatch.
Is the warranty the same as buying them separately?
Yes. Each bike carries the same two-year manufacturer warranty on frame, motor, battery and controller as it does on its own page.
Can I return just one of the two?
Talk to us before you send anything back. A pack is priced as a pair, so returning one bike changes the price of the other — we will tell you exactly where you stand before you post it.
Do I need anything else on day one?
A floor pump with a gauge, a proper lock for each bike, and a helmet each. If you plan to carry a passenger on the Flux, add the seat pad and the footboards.
Would two of the same bike suit us better?
Only if you both ride alone and never carry anything. If one of you does the school run and the other commutes, this pair covers both jobs; two folding bikes cover one of them twice.
Range, speed and payload figures are the manufacturer's published specifications, measured under their test conditions. Your results will differ with rider weight, load, terrain, tyre pressure, temperature and assist level. Roots Rider is operated by GHRAM LLC, Wyoming.
